I’m so glad you found your way here. While you can definitely be a writer even if you don’t have a single reader, for me, writing for the enjoyment of others has always been my dream. When I was five years old, my older sister told my parents she wanted to be an author when she grew up. In true (and annoying) little sister fashion, I quickly piped up that I too wanted to be an author one day. While my sister moved on in her aspirations, I have never been able to shake those pivotal words.
Okay, let’s talk about coffee. I love it. Kids. I have four daughters, plus a dog, who is, you guessed it-also a girl. Yes, my husband knows he is outnumbered, blessed, insert word of your choice here. Running, biking, swimming. Yes, to all three. Steak and the entire horror genre. Hard nos. Of course, a list of my likes and dislikes would not be complete without mentioning the one who is better than anything else in my life- Jesus. His grace has led me through the darkest parts of my life and His blessings have overflowed in every stage of my life, even when I have failed to notice them.
Before you go, since romance is my genre, I’ll tell you all a little about my own meet-cute. I met my husband my freshmen year of college when we were both part of a group watching a movie in someone’s dorm room. Or at least that’s what he remembers. My own recollections are hazier and center more around an ice cream eating challenge in which I watched him eat an entire half gallon of blue moon ice cream in about seven minutes. What can I say, to this day ice cream is a major part of our relationship. He fills my life with laughter, love, and the shared pursuit of Jesus.
